The Fiserv payment gateway is Fiserv’s family of online and in-store gateways, led today by its flagship, Commerce Hub, a single, modular, cloud-native platform. One connection links your website, app or store to payments, terminals, fraud tools, tokenization, routing and reporting. Because Commerce Hub is modular, Fiserv can add new payment methods and services without you rebuilding the core integration.
Yes. Commerce Hub is Fiserv’s replacement for the legacy First Data and Payeezy gateways. Recurly’s integration guide says Fiserv set those gateways for deprecation at the end of Q3 2025 and that existing First Data and Payeezy merchants were migrated to Commerce Hub behind the scenes. Zuora’s documentation adds that Payeezy is no longer onboarding new customers.
Fiserv is both. Fiserv provides gateway technology such as Commerce Hub and also acts as a merchant acquirer, and Commerce Hub merchants are boarded through Fiserv’s own Merchant Onboarding and Maintenance system. AllayPay, a registered ISO/MSP of Fifth Third Bank, N.A., sets up merchant accounts that run on Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay.
Fiserv payment methods on Commerce Hub include Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards, gift cards and the Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and PayPal wallets. U.S. merchants can also accept ACH Direct Debit and Pay by Bank, and Affirm buy now, pay later is available in the U.S. and Canada. Availability varies by country and account setup.
Yes. Commerce Hub gives Fiserv merchants four ways to take website payments: Hosted Checkout (hosted pages, components or fields), Pay by Link, plugins such as the Fiserv-built Adobe Commerce plugin, and a RESTful API for a fully custom checkout. Hosted Checkout’s configurator needs no coding, while an API-based Fiserv gateway integration gives full control over design, services and processes.
Yes, mainly through Adobe Commerce and APIs. Fiserv builds and maintains its own Commerce Hub plugin for Adobe Commerce, formerly Magento, and its plugin page lists a Salesforce Commerce plugin as coming. Billing platforms such as Recurly also connect to Commerce Hub for eCommerce, recurring and MOTO payments. Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce are not on Fiserv’s plugin list, so those need custom API work.
Yes. Commerce Hub includes a Virtual Terminal in the Commerce Control Center. Authorized users can start payments, issue refunds and voids, upload batches and run reports from a browser. This helps with phone orders, mail orders and invoices.
Yes. Fiserv supports recurring payments and merchant-initiated transactions on Commerce Hub using stored credentials. You can schedule subscription, membership and service-plan charges through the API, or set up recurring billing plans in the Commerce Control Center Virtual Terminal without writing code.
Yes. Fiserv uses TransArmor tokenization on Commerce Hub to replace card numbers with tokens you can store for repeat purchases and recurring billing. Commerce Hub also supports network tokens issued by the card networks. Your software keeps the token, not the full card number.
Fiserv Hosted Checkout is the Commerce Hub option where Fiserv hosts your payment page, components or fields, so card data is entered on Fiserv-hosted fields instead of your own server. That setup can qualify you for the PCI SAQ A questionnaire. Its no-code configurator lets you set color themes, typography and layout with a live preview.
Yes. Commerce Hub Pay by Link lets you create payment links or QR codes and share them by email, SMS, chat or invoice. You can also create links in the Commerce Control Center portal without writing code.
Yes, for U.S. merchants. Commerce Hub supports ACH Direct Debit and Pay by Bank, a tokenized ACH option, and its Hosted Checkout can accept checks. If you need bank payments, we can set up ACH and eCheck processing for your business.
Fiserv’s Commerce Hub gateway offers 3-D Secure, fraud scoring, velocity controls and positive and negative fraud filters for U.S. merchants. These tools run through the same Commerce Hub connection as payments, tokenization and routing, so you can switch them on without building a separate fraud integration.
Yes. Fiserv describes the Commerce Hub API as using PCI-compliant data protection, and Fiserv Hosted Checkout can reduce your own PCI scope to SAQ A because customers enter card data on Fiserv-hosted fields. Your business still completes its own PCI validation for the setup you use.
Yes. Fiserv supports network tokens on Commerce Hub from Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. The card networks keep a network token valid when the customer’s card is reissued or expires, so stored recurring charges keep working instead of declining for an outdated card number. Network tokens help only with outdatedcard declines, not insufficient-funds declines.
Yes. Fiserv supports cancels (voids) and refunds on Commerce Hub. Cancel a transaction before it settles to stop the charge, or refund it after settlement. Both can be run through the API or from the Commerce Control Center Virtual Terminal.
Yes. Fiserv Developer Studio offers APIs, SDKs, sandbox tools and documentation. Commerce Hub also supports server-to-server notifications that help your software confirm payment status for order updates and automation.
Yes. Fiserv positions Commerce Hub for enterprise businesses with complex commerce needs, with enterprise-grade testing, security and resiliency across digital, mobile and in-store channels. Enterprise features include multi-acquirer routing, local payment methods and currencies for new markets, and unified reporting in Commerce Control Center.
High-risk merchants can use the Fiserv payment gateway only if a Commerce Hub acquirer, such as Fiserv itself, approves them. For high-risk merchants such as CBD, nutraceutical, vape and travel businesses, AllayPay sets up U.S. merchant accounts that run on Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay.
AllayPay offers high-risk merchant accounts as an alternative to Fiserv. AllayPay, a registered ISO/MSP of Fifth Third Bank, N.A., pairs each account with the Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay gateway. AllayPay also provides chargeback monitoring services.
Fiserv does not publish prices for the Fiserv payment gateway. Its Commerce Hub and online payments pages list no rates and direct buyers to a Contact us form, so pricing is quoted per merchant. Fiserv says its eCommerce plugins, such as the Adobe Commerce plugin, use a flat-rate pricing structure, but it does not publish that rate.
Fiserv Commerce Hub and Authorize.net differ mainly in scope. Commerce Hub is an enterprise platform with one connection for online, mobile and in-store payments plus multi-acquirer routing. Authorize.net is a payment gateway whose Gateway Only plan connects to an existing merchant account. AllayPay offers Authorize.net directly.
AllayPay is an ISO built for high-risk industries. We set up merchant accounts, so you hold your own MID. We also provide hardware and software integrations, from POS to payment gateways. AllayPay pairs your merchant account with the Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay gateway. You get payment processing specialists who stay with you after onboarding instead of a chat widget.
Fiserv boards Commerce Hub merchants through its own onboarding process, so contact Fiserv directly to use Commerce Hub. To process with AllayPay instead, request a free quote for a U.S. merchant account. AllayPay offers same-day approvals for many businesses and connects your account to Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay. AllayPay has served merchants from Plantation, Florida since 2016.
