The iTransact payment gateway is a card and ACH payment gateway owned by Payroc, which bought iTransact’s assets in 2016. The gateway connects a website, software, virtual terminal or payment device to a merchant account and processor for online, mobile, in-person and phone payments. Payroc will sunset the iTransact gateway on October 31, 2026 and is moving merchants to the Payroc Gateway.
iTransact is a payment gateway, not a merchant account. The iTransact Gateway processes through a merchant’s own traditional merchant account, which holds the acquiring bank relationship and receives the funds. Because Payroc retires the gateway on October 31, 2026, AllayPay sets up new merchant accounts on an active gateway such as Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay instead of iTransact.
Yes. Payroc, which owns iTransact, will sunset the iTransact gateway on October 31, 2026. Payroc is moving iTransact merchants to the Payroc Gateway and recommends switching early to avoid interruptions to payment processing. Current iTransact merchants should complete the Payroc transition or move to another gateway before that date.
Migrating from iTransact to the Payroc Gateway follows four steps Payroc publishes: email conversions@payroc.com to reach a payments expert, review the transition path for how you accept payments today, activate the Payroc Gateway with your payment methods and integrations, then go live once testing is complete. Payroc says the Payroc Gateway supports online, in-store and mobile payments, payment links and real-time reporting.
Alternatives to the iTransact gateway include the Payroc Gateway, which Payroc names as the replacement, and independent gateways such as Authorize.net, NMI and Fluid Pay. AllayPay offers Authorize.net, NMI and Fluid Pay directly and boards U.S. merchants, including high-risk businesses in CBD, nutraceuticals and research peptides. Merchants who want to stay with Payroc can contact conversions@payroc.com.
iTransact accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, plus Apple Pay, ACH and eCheck payments. iTransact’s published materials do not list Diners Club or Google Pay. The Payroc Gateway that replaces iTransact also accepts card and ACH payments and supports Apple Pay and Google Pay on its Hosted Payment Pages and Hosted Fields.
Yes, until the October 31, 2026 sunset. iTransact offers hosted payment pages, a payment form creation wizard and a REST API for a custom checkout. Websites built on iTransact need a new gateway connection before that date. The Payroc Gateway offers Hosted Payment Pages, Hosted Fields and reusable payment links that merchants can send to multiple customers.
Yes. iTransact gateway integration options include a HostBill payment module, the ItransactGateway class in the Ruby Active Merchant library and a REST API for custom sites, apps and billing systems. The WooCommerce iTransact plugin was closed on WordPress.org on November 4, 2022. WooCommerce stores can use the Payroc Gateway for WooCommerce plugin, which supports hosted payment pages, Apple Pay, saved cards and subscriptions.
Yes. The iTransact virtual terminal lets authorized users key in card and eCheck payments from a browser for phone orders, mail orders and other card-not-present sales. Payroc also offers a Virtual Terminal that accepts card and ACH payments from a computer with no extra hardware and adds recurring billing, multicurrency support and real-time reporting.
Yes. iTransact recurring billing stores customer billing details, runs recurring subscriptions and supports trial periods or discounts. Subscriptions on iTransact must move to a new gateway before October 31, 2026. The Payroc Virtual Terminal supports recurring billing, and merchants should confirm with Payroc or their new provider how saved billing profiles carry over.
Yes. iTransact lets merchants save and charge multiple payment sources for each customer and store details such as addresses or custom metadata. Saved payment sources are stored with iTransact, so your software does not need to store full card numbers. The Payroc Gateway for WooCommerce plugin also supports saved payment methods.
Yes. iTransact offers invoicing options so clients can pay you online. Payroc’s replacement tools include Invoicing and Billing and reusable payment links, which merchants can create without a set dollar amount and send to multiple customers.
Yes. iTransact ACH payments include eCheck, and merchants receive an order confirmation and a detailed transaction report for each eCheck payment. ACH access requires underwriting approval on the merchant account. The Payroc Virtual Terminal also accepts ACH, so merchants moving off iTransact can keep bank payments in the new setup.
iTransact lets merchants pre-screen transactions by ZIP code, IP address, transaction size and other factors before they process. Screening rules filter suspicious orders but do not prevent disputes on orders that pass, which is why AllayPay offers chargeback monitoring alongside gateway filters. The Payroc Gateway that replaces iTransact also includes fraud prevention tools.
iTransact describes itself as a fully PCI DSS Level 1 compliant processing service. It re-encrypts payment data when it reaches the gateway, and hosted payment pages cut the amount of card data a business handles. Merchants must still complete the PCI requirements that apply to their own payment environment.
Yes. iTransact provides a RESTful API that uses JSON, developer libraries and a Postman collection so developers can test requests before writing code. Developers with an iTransact API integration need to move it to a new gateway as part of the transition, and Payroc’s activation step covers configuring payment methods and integrations on the Payroc Gateway.
iTransact has no published high-risk prohibition, but a new high-risk business should not board onto a gateway that shuts down on October 31, 2026. Approval comes from the acquiring bank, not the gateway. AllayPay specializes in high-risk merchant accounts for industries such as CBD, nutraceuticals, research peptides, vape, firearms and travel, connected to Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay.
iTransact does not publish standard pricing; gateway, per-transaction and ACH fees are quoted by the merchant service provider that sets up the account. Because the iTransact gateway sunsets October 31, 2026, merchants should price a replacement gateway instead and can request a free quote from AllayPay.
Authorize.net suits a new gateway setup because it remains active, while the iTransact gateway shuts down on October 31, 2026. Both gateways offer a virtual terminal, recurring billing and eCheck payments, so iTransact workflows can move to Authorize.net. AllayPay offers Authorize.net directly, including for high-risk merchants.
AllayPay helps iTransact merchants move to an active gateway before the October 31, 2026 sunset without rebuilding every payment workflow alone. AllayPay, based in Plantation, Florida since 2016, serves more than 1,000 active merchants and processes over $1.1 billion a year. Merchants get a dedicated U.S.-based account manager, chargeback monitoring and a choice of Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay.
AllayPay starts by mapping your current iTransact setup, including website checkout, virtual terminal, recurring billing, invoicing and ACH. AllayPay then underwrites a merchant account, configures Authorize.net, NMI or Fluid Pay to match those workflows and supports testing before go-live. AllayPay offers same-day approvals for many businesses. Start before October 31, 2026 to avoid a gap in processing.
