The Payroc payment gateway connects a business website, software, virtual terminal or payment device to its merchant account. It supports online, mobile, in-person and unattended payments through one platform. Payroc builds and supports the gateway in-house.
Both. Payroc is a payment processor that provides merchant accounts, and the Payroc Gateway is its payment gateway technology. Most merchants also need an approved merchant account to receive funds. As a registered agent of Payroc, AllayPay sets up the Payroc merchant account and connects it to the Payroc Gateway.
The Payroc Gateway is built and supported in-house by Payroc, the payment processor that also provides the merchant account. Authorize.net is a payment gateway that can connect to an existing merchant account from another bank or provider.
Payroc supports credit and debit cards, ACH bank payments in the U.S., Apple Pay, Google Pay, EBT and HSA/FSA cards. Its terminals accept chip, contactless and digital wallet payments. Availability depends on the merchant account and integration setup.
Yes. Payroc offers a customizable Hosted Payments Page, payment links and a unified API. The Payroc Gateway for WooCommerce plugin can send shoppers to a secure payment page or show a card form on your own checkout.
Yes. Payroc lists Shopify, OpenCart, WooCommerce and Magento integrations on its gateway page. For custom websites and software platforms, Payroc gateway integration runs through the Payroc unified API, which includes documentation and a self-service sandbox. Payroc does not name the maintainer of each plugin, so confirm the extension for your store version with AllayPay before launch.
Yes. Payroc lists Authorize.net and NMI among 10 third-party gateways it supports, alongside CyberSource, USAePay, PayTrace, Bridgepay, Slim CD, Payscape, eProcessing Network and TSYS Transit. A business that already runs checkout on Authorize.net or NMI can keep that integration instead of rebuilding it for the Payroc Gateway. AllayPay offers both Authorize.net and NMI directly.
Yes. The Payroc Virtual Terminal lets you process transactions from any device with internet access. It supports phone orders, mail orders and other payments where the customer is not completing an online checkout.
Yes. The Payroc API supports recurring billing through subscriptions and payment plans. You can create, update, pause and restart subscriptions for memberships, service plans and other repeat billing.
Yes. Payroc uses tokenization to replace card details with secure tokens. Merchants can use these tokens for repeat purchases and recurring payments without storing full card numbers in their own software.
The Payroc Hosted Payments Page is a customizable, PCI-compliant payment page you can embed in your website or software. Payroc handles the sensitive card fields, which can lower the amount of card data your business touches.
The Payroc API can create single-use tokens, which stand in for card details for one payment and expire after 30 minutes, and secure tokens for repeat payments. Your system uses the token to run the transaction, so it handles less raw card data.
Yes. Payroc offers Invoicing and Billing tools that help automate your accounts receivable workflow. You can also send payment links by email or text so customers can pay online.
Yes. Payroc supports one-time and reusable payment links. You can send them by email or text, or post them on your website. Payroc lists QR payments in its Roc Terminal+ Mobile App rather than the gateway, so ask your specialist about current options.
Yes. Payroc ACH payments let U.S. businesses accept bank transfers alongside cards. The Payroc API can verify a bank account, run the bank payment and re-present a returned ACH payment. ACH must be approved in underwriting and enabled on your account, so request it when you apply through AllayPay.
Payroc offers 3D Secure, which verifies each transaction in real time with a one-time code, and tokenization, which replaces card data with secure tokens to lower breach risk. Neither tool prevents every chargeback, so AllayPay adds chargeback monitoring services to help high-risk merchants keep chargeback ratios under control.
Payroc states that it holds Level 1 PCI DSS certification, the highest level of compliance. Hosted pages and tokenization can reduce the card data your business handles. Merchants must still complete the PCI requirements that apply to their own payment environment.
Yes. Payroc Card Account Updater reduces failed recurring payments caused by outdated cards. The updater refreshes tokenized card-on-file details when a card is reissued, expires, is lost or is stolen, so Payroc recurring billing keeps charging the current card. Card Account Updater cannot recover declines for insufficient funds or closed accounts.
Yes. The Payroc API supports refunds, unreferenced refunds and reversals that void eligible transactions. Refunds are available for both card and bank transfer payments.
Yes. Payroc offers a RESTful API, developer documentation, implementation guides and a test environment for real-world scenarios. Developers also get a developer portal with sandbox access and API keys.
Yes. The Payroc API supports event subscriptions that send webhook notifications to your endpoint, and your server must return a 200 response to confirm receipt. Payroc documents four event types: processingAccount.status.changed, processingAccount.riskStatus.changed, processingAccount.signature.signed and terminalOrder.status.changed. These events cover account and terminal order changes, not individual payment results.
Payroc operates at enterprise scale, reporting more than 789 million annual transactions, $125 billion in annual processing volume and over 190,000 clients. The Payroc Gateway supports Level II and Level III processing, which Payroc says can reduce fees and improve reporting, plus more than 30 precertified payment devices.
Yes. High-risk merchants can apply for a Payroc account through AllayPay, but approval is not guaranteed. Payroc and its sponsor banks, which include Fifth Third Bank, N.A., decide eligibility through underwriting. Payroc publishes no list of accepted high-risk industries, so AllayPay, which specializes in high-risk and hardto-place businesses, reviews your products and website against Payroc underwriting before submitting.
Payroc does not publish standard rates for the gateway or merchant account. Pricing is set for each merchant account, so request a free quote from AllayPay for your business.
Yes. Payroc RewardPay Choice is a surcharge program that offsets credit card processing costs with a fixedpercentage surcharge the merchant sets, up to 3% (2% in Oklahoma). Payroc lists RewardPay Choice as available in every state except Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Maine. Payroc ConsumerChoice is a dual pricing program with one card price and a discounted cash or ACH price.
AllayPay is a registered agent of Payroc and an ISO built for high-risk industries. Based in Plantation, Florida since 2016, AllayPay serves more than 1,000 active merchants and processes over $1.1 billion a year. You hold your own MID, and AllayPay also offers Authorize.net, NMI and Fluid Pay gateways. Your single point of contact is a U.S.-based account manager, not a chat widget.
AllayPay reviews your business, website, expected volume and payment channels, then submits your Payroc merchant account application for Payroc underwriting. Once approved, AllayPay configures the Payroc Gateway for the workflows you need, such as online checkout, the virtual terminal, ACH, invoicing, recurring billing or in-person terminals. AllayPay offers same-day approvals for many businesses.
